Made it to El Salvador

Our group decided that Avianca Airlines is the best ever! Excellent service, good food and smooth flight (which I know is out of the airlines control). Our landing was very smooth. Here's a po of our approach. We begin the long layover now in the San Salvador airport. The airport is pretty modern, there are plenty of duty free shops a a craft type shops too. They also have a wall honoring Archbishop Oscar Romero in murals on a wall.
We also encountered the Costa Rican national rugby team - both male and female teams as they boarded a flight to CancĂșn. The airport is lovely. Had pupusas for lunch which were super yummy!

  1. Sabrina: So glad to hear that everything is OK. i've been thinking about all of you up so early! I am so glad to hear that the airport was new and comfortable. I love the two photos - the mural is inspiring and the shot from the airplane is amazing - so green!
