Despedida means farewell in Spanish. Today was our last day at Casa Damien in Guayaquil. It was bittersweet. There were many highlights including spending some more time to hear the patients stories and share the laughter (and tears), forming strong bonds with our Ecuadorian High school students, Genesis, Abel and Joceline, going I the iguana park, visiting the malecón, climbing 444 steps to see the city of Guayaquil and eating at the dfood court in the mall. I don't have time to share it all now as we have to wake up at 4:30 am to catch our flight to Quito tomorrow morning, so I'll leave you with some photos and post more tomorrow.
